Healthy honey bees with a GIS solution

For the Danish Agricultural and Fisheries Agency, SYSTRA redeveloped the existing Central Apiary Register into a more user-friendly system.

The Central Apiary Register (CBR) is an IT and WebGIS solution in which all beekeepers in Denmark are required to register their apiaries, their geographical locations, and the number of bee colonies.

SYSTRA redeveloped the existing register, making it simpler and more user-friendly to register bees. This new requirement forms part of the EU’s new Animal Health Law, which is intended, among other things, to help prevent and combat diseases and pests affecting animals.
