Rain- & wastewater management

Behind every project lies thorough analysis and detailed calculations. Our ageing sewer systems are under pressure from climate change, and in many places there is a need to protect our cities against storm surges and cloudbursts caused by rising volumes of water from the sea and rainfall.

With a focus on sustainable water management, we can help upgrade sewer systems and manage large volumes of water. We deliver everything from sewer separation projects to new installations, for example in connection with site development, urban regeneration, port expansions, and along roads and railways.

Behind every project lies thorough analysis and detailed calculations. Our specialists have extensive experience in hydraulic calculations. Based on these, our project managers can advise clients on a forward-looking and nuanced technical basis.

Drawing on our broad knowledge of the entire water cycle, we can also act as a trusted partner in the regulatory approval of projects. We always work with the latest technology and tools, including 3D models.

Ishøj’s new landmark: a climate adaptation facility

Ishøj Utility faces a particular challenge when it comes to stormwater treatment. The challenge is that there is no space for traditional stormwater retention basin solutions with a permanent wet volume.

As part of Ishøj Utility’s future stormwater management strategy, a pilot project has therefore been launched in connection with the establishment of a new basin. The facility is the largest of its kind in the Nordic region.

Different types of structures for managing RAINwater and wastewater

We have extensive experience with various types of structures for handling both stormwater and wastewater, including:

  • Hydraulic modelling
  • Runoff from surface areas
  • Sewer rehabilitation / sewer separation
  • Stormwater retention basins
  • Underground basins and structures
  • Sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS)
  • Climate adaptation and hydraulic landscape design
