Landmarks in the Landscape
In 2019, SYSTRA Denmark, as technical advisor, together with LYTT, ADEPT and TVEDE Consulting Engineers as sub-consultant, won the competition to develop new main entrances and blue gathering places with access to Amager Nature Park from the water side. The new areas will serve as landmarks in the landscape and improve opportunities to explore the nature area.
SYSTRA provides consultancy services in relation to constructions on land and in water, construction of paths, stairs, etc., geotechnics, assessment of nature and environmental conditions, nature mapping, drainage, coastal protection in connection with interventions in dikes, regulatory processing, as well as construction management and working environment.
THREE NEW FACILITIES ARE NOW READY FOR USE
On Thursday, June 8, the new public toilets and standpipes, a new bathing zone by Byskoven, a lunch pack house, a gear bank, and places of call for kayaks, rowing boats and SUPs along the coast were inaugurated. The facilities are located at Havneslusen, north of Sjællandsbroen and Vejlands Allé, on the dike south of Havneslusen and Sjællands- and Banebroen, and by Byskoven. All facilities are natural stops on Havneringen and Amarminoen – the 27 km long hiking route through the entire Amager Naturpark.
Amager Naturpark is a collaboration between the municipalities of Copenhagen, Tårnby and Dragør, the Danish Nature Agency and By & Havn, and the facilities have been established with support from Nordea-fonden, Lokale og Anlægsfonden and Friluftsrådet.
SYSTRA is very pleased to be involved in the project in collaboration with LYTT, ADEPT and TVEDE Consulting Engineers.
