Home News Inauguration of the road connection west of Uhre

Inauguration of the road connection west of Uhre

SYSTRA has been the total consultant for Vejle Municipality on the construction project Road Link West of Uhre, which will now relieve the daily traffic in Petersminde and Uhrhøj and further through Vejle town. The construction project is one of the municipality's largest ever.

On November 27, the connecting road to Uhre was inaugurated with a reception and speech by, among others, Vejle’s mayor Jens Ejner Christensen, and at 6 pm the same evening the road was opened to regular traffic.

As the total consultant on the project, SYSTRA has been responsible for detailed design, EU tendering, technical supervision and construction management for the new road section, which in addition to the road itself includes three new rainwater basins, two underpasses for fauna and two distinctive bridges for the overhead crossing of the fauna passage and path.

At SYSTRA, we are very pleased to be part of the exciting project on the approx. 2 kilometer long connecting road with M.J. Eriksson as contractor and in good cooperation with our partners on the project GEO, Fredsted Consulting and Schønherr landscape architects.
