Context

The HSE Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained at all stages of the railway construction project. This role focuses on site supervision, compliance with regulatory and client requirements, and proactive risk management to support a safe working environment.

 

Missions/Main Duties

  • The candidate will report to the Safety Manager; but will have to work very closely with the supervision teams in general and the resident engineers in particular.
  • Responsible for ensuring that safety systems, policies and procedures are in place, understood and followed.
  • Works directly with site leadership to create an injury-free safety culture.
  • Facilitates site safety meetings, training, risk management, injury investigations, required inspections, etc. Encourage involvement at all levels.
  • Seeks out safety best practices and facilitates implementation.
  • Acts as point person for formal audits and inspections.
  • Facilitates activities needed to meet regulatory requirements as well as organizational expectations.

Profile/Skills

  • Experienced Professional shall have a university degree or demonstrated experience in his field
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the required field of expertise in railway project
  • Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of railway safety standards (EN, AREMA, etc.) and local safety regulations.
  • GCC Experience.
