Sr. OCS Engineer

Context

SYSTRA is actively seeking highly talented Sr. OCS Engineer to join our Rail Systems Team in Italy (Turin/Rome).  

Missions/Main Duties

The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead preforming project work, preparing design drawings and documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, proposals, calculations, and studies associated with traction power system for electrified railways/metro/tramways ac and dc.

Profile/Skills

• Master or Bachelor or Degree in Elettrical Engineering or Equivalent Title
• Experience in leading the production, checking and approval of OCS conceptual and detailed designs, including design calculations, layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagram, technical specifications, BoQs, and technical report writing.
• Will apply knowledge and understanding of rail design, rail operations and construction on or about a railroad, overhead catenary systems, traction power substations, signals and communications systems, and track layout.
• Will ensure compliance with all EN & Italian regulations Overhead Catenary System (OCS).
• Coordination with architects, trackwork, alignment, civil, mechanical, and structural engineers for station, tunnel, and guideway designs for OCS spatial requirements.
• Experience in undertaking site surveys/site visits and supporting/supervising T&C.
• Experience of OCS installation methods and practices.
• Interest in mentoring team members and collaborating with peers.
• Teamwork.
