SYSTRA Hong Kong was proud to be recognised a special award for the project Walking in the Garden: From Reconnecting to Rediscovering (Area and Street Rejuvenations in the Lee Gardens Area) presented by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA).

SYSTRA Hong Kong, as the Traffic Engineering Consultants, led by Ronald Lu & Partners, was attained Finalist recognition in HKIA Award of Hong Kong – Urban Design & Master Planning in HKIA Annual Dinner cum Annual Awards Presentation 2024.

The Project comprises upgrading of various buildings in the Lee Garden area through the Alterations and Additions works, provision of a series of footbridges and a covered walkway for improvement of pedestrian connectivity and a proposed streetscape plan for enhancement of walkability and walking experience.

SYSTRA Hong Kong provided strategic sustainable traffic and transport solutions for the Lee Garden Area Rejuvenations Project. Our key Scope included various Traffic and Pedestrian Design and Assessments to support of the planning and design for the traffic circulation and pedestrian related facilities for Statutory Submissions.

  • Pedestrian Accessibility Review
  • Implementation of Streetscape Plan
  • Traffic and Pedestrian Demand Studies for Planning of Pedestrian Links
  • Traffic Engineering Design and Traffic Re-arrangement for the Pedestrian Links (including both the covered walkways and footbridges)
  • Traffic and Pedestrian Signage for the Streetscape Plan
  • Temporary Traffic Management Schemes for Construction of Pedestrian Links
