Seismic Retrofit and Sustainable Design Consultancy for Istanbul University Health Campuses and Vocational School

In light of the impending major earthquake in İstanbul and the insufficient structural integrity of existing buildings in Çapa and Cerrahpaşa Health Campuses, design studies have been carried out under the contract; Consultancy Services for Detailed Design (Phase 2) for the Istanbul University – Campuses of Çapa and Cerrahpaşa. These efforts aim to seismically retrofit the health campuses while preserving their historical surroundings, ensuring they meet modern functional and operational requirements.  

The contract encompassed the design of three health campuses and one vocational school:

1.  Çapa Training and Research Hospital – 285.280  m² – 749 beds
Preliminary and detail design services have been performed.

2.  Cerrahpaşa Training and Research Hospital –  356.680  m² – 1100 beds 
Preliminary and detail design services have been performed.

3.  Hasdal Training and Research Hospital – 449.897  m² – 1200 beds
Preliminary design services have been performed.

4.  Sultangazi Vocational School  – 51,925 m²
Preliminary and detail design services have been performed.
