We are seeking applications for the position K4 - Section Engineer Civil for Nagpur Metro.
Missions/Main Duties
Lead the oversight of civil works (piling, girders, structural concrete, and finishes). You are responsible for approving Method Statements and ensuring the Contractor’s execution matches approved design drawings and QA/QC standards.
Consolidate data on physical progress (e.g., cubic meters of concrete poured, number of segments launched) versus the baseline schedule for upper management review.
Conduct daily inspections to ensure structural safety, adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, and effective material management on-site.
Monitor contractual milestones for the specific section, documenting any site-specific variations, delays, or claims related to civil works.
Manage the transition of completed civil structures to the Systems/Finishing teams, including the preparation of punch lists and final "Hand-over" documentation.
Profile/Skills
- Education qualification – Engineering Graduate – Civil
- Years of experience – 10+ years in Major Infrastructure Projects/Railway/Metro and execution of related works.
- Prior experience requirement - 10+ years in Major Infrastructure Projects/Railway/Metro
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
- Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
- Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
- Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort & make independent decision and be a good troubleshooter.
