Light rail

Sonu is awarded the title of 2026 Young FRI Consultant of the Year

Yesterday, on 12 March, the Young FRI Consultant of the Year award ceremony once again took place at Industriens Hus. At SYSTRA, the applause was especially loud, as for the second time in three years we can proudly say that one of our young colleagues took home the win.

Sonu is awarded the title of 2026 Young FRI Consultant of the Year

Sonu Singh was nominated on the basis of his work on the Electrification Programme and the California High Speed Rail, where he plays a central role in both projects.

Beyond the projects that speak for themselves, FRI’s CEO, Henrik Garver, emphasized more than that in explaining why Sonu took home the win.

“His leadership style, strong communication, and ability to drive progress make him an exceptionally valuable consultant and a role model for young consultants—both as a technical beacon, a colleague, and a manager,” says Henrik Garver.

A big congratulations to Sonu on being named the 2026 Young FRI Consultant of the Year. At SYSTRA, we greatly value young colleagues with a strong technical foundation and the ability to turn that expertise into tangible value—for our clients and for SYSTRA’s leadership alike. This is the second time in three years that one of our young colleagues has received the award, and we are, of course, very proud.
