Søborg Hovedgade
With the transformation of Søborg Hovedgade, Gladsaxe Municipality has created a green, vibrant shopping street with a strong neighborhood identity, setting new standards for diverse urban and commercial life. Wider bike lanes, green seating areas, and pergolas with climbing plants create a lively and aesthetically attractive street that invites community and relaxation. Planting inspired by residential gardens adds lushness to the street and connects the city’s nature with its architecture. The reduced car traffic enhances safety and makes it easier for citizens to choose cycling over driving.
The project supports sustainable mobility and social interaction, representing an important step in the development of a long-term, sustainable, and beautiful neighborhood.
