We are pleased to announce that we have appointed Julie Bastholm Bernth as the new Head of the Bridges & Structures Department at SYSTRA Denmark.

Julie has a leadership profile with experience in personnel management, team building, and technical leadership. She holds a degree in civil engineering and has over 12 years of experience in bridges, structures, and railways, enabling her to provide professional support to colleagues in the department.

For the past two years, Julie has been employed at Banedanmark as a design manager, team leader, and most recently, section manager. In these roles, she has worked on projects such as the Reconstruction of Aarhus H and Preparatory Works for Electrification. She has also focused on recruitment, onboarding, personnel management, interdisciplinary collaboration, technical leadership, and deliverables. Prior to her time at Banedanmark, Julie was a consultant at Atkins Denmark (now SYSTRA Denmark) for 10 years.

I am very pleased that Julie has returned to us at SYSTRA Denmark. With Julie’s experience as a consultant and structural engineer in the bridge and construction sector, as well as her key competencies in areas such as personnel and professional management, rail projects, and cross-functional collaboration, Julie has a great deal to contribute to the department and to SYSTRA.
