Denmark has its first maritime spatial plan, which has now been submitted for public consultation. The maritime spatial plan has been issued as a digital executive order, which means that you can find the legally applicable information about both the content of the maritime spatial plan and the consultations at havplan.dk.

FIRST TIME IN DIGITAL FORM

At SYSTRA (formerly Atkins Denmark), we are proud to be the system supplier for the Danish Maritime Authority with responsibility for the development and implementation of the digital platform for the maritime plan.

The maritime spatial plan will form the basis for coordinating the many different usages of the marine areas around Denmark and thus support the conditions for sustainable development and utilization of our marine resources.

The maritime spatial plan is the first time that legally valid information is made available exclusively in digital form. The geographical data is loaded from the Danish Maritime Authority’s GIS environment and is presented in the portal together with the associated regulations. In this way, you can find out which rules apply in a given geographical area at sea and participate in the consultation process for the plan.

SYSTRA is responsible for the design, development, data quality assurance, testing and commissioning of the portal for displaying the applicable plan information. The solution is based on SYSTRA’s cFlow platform and is developed with a focus on maximum user-friendliness, operational stability and security.
