Width: 29.7 ft (9 m)

Depth: 5.38 ft (1.6 m)

SYSTRA IBT and their partners were tasked with the design of the new bridge with the objectives of increasing the available clearance, reducing the maintenance cost, and minimizing the impact of construction without changing the approach grade on
either side.

The unique design consisted of precast concrete segments with a channel section, which increased the vertical clearance over Route 24 by more than 2 ft (0.6 m) without requiring any additional abutment fill. The erection of the superstructure took only two weeks, minimizing traffic disruption.
