Opened in July 2017, the line reduced journey time from Paris to Bordeaux by more than an hour.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Built in just six years, SEA includes 187 miles of new track and infrastructure designed to comply with the most stringent European standards for railway interoperability. This is the longest stretch of track ever built at once and in such a short time. By using an original contract system, SYSTRA and the concessionaire\/contractor resolved the challenges caused by the tight schedule and the scale of the project, which worked so well that the project was completed ahead of schedule.
