**This LIRR Expansion Project, one of the largest transportation infrastructure projects in North America, involves adding a third track along a 9.8-mile section of the main line corridor. SYSTRA is a member of the project management team and is responsible for construction compliance oversight on this design-build project for major elements. They include signals and communications systems, stations, and parking facilities, as well as infrastructure such as bridge widening and utility relocations.**

SYSTRA is primarily responsible for planning construction activities, overseeing
and monitoring construction QA/QC compliance by the design-build contractor,
cost and schedule controls, force account coordination and start up,
commissioning, and acceptance support by end user groups.
