The role focuses on preparing consistent drawing packages across multiple locations while adapting corridor-wide standards to site-specific conditions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Design Coordination: Collaborate directly with the Structural Lead to perform and verify structural calculations, design framing systems, platform slabs, deep\/shallow foundations, and equipment pad foundations.<\/li>\n<li>Interface Alignment: Coordinate structural interfaces with adjacent disciplines, including Architectural, Civil\/Roadway, Trackwork, Geotechnical, Electrical\/Power Supply, and Utility teams.<\/li>\n<li>Deliverable Production: Prepare and review structural design briefs, calculation packages, technical specifications, and drawing sets (from preliminary concepts to Issued for Construction).<\/li>\n<li>BIM &amp; Model Reviews: Work alongside BIM\/CAD teams to ensure structural models accurately reflect design calculations and clear interdisciplinary spatial clashes.<\/li>\n<li>Quality &amp; Compliance: Conduct internal design checks, participate in Interdisciplinary Design Reviews (IDR), and ensure designs strictly comply with project quality standards and client design criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: &#039;Aptos&#039;,sans-serif;color: black\">Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree (B.Sc. or B.Eng.) in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. Master&rsquo;s degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: &#039;Aptos&#039;,sans-serif;color: black\">Professional Registration: Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation (or eligible for immediate registration) with PEO or equivalent provincial engineering association is not required but preferred.<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: &#039;Aptos&#039;,sans-serif;color: black\">Experience: Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience, with a proven track record in transit facilities, light rail infrastructure, industrial buildings, or heavy civil structures.<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: &#039;Aptos&#039;,sans-serif;color: black\">Technical Standards: Strong working knowledge of Canadian\/Ontario structural design codes (OBC, CSA A23.3 Concrete, CSA S16 Steel, CSA S6 Bridge Code where applicable), and familiarity with transit standards (e.g., Metrolinx Design Standards, NFPA 130).<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: &#039;Aptos&#039;,sans-serif;color: black\">Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, SAFE, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro) and working knowledge of BIM\/Revit workflows<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
