The role is responsible for preparing the plumbing and fire fighting design brief, mechanical design brief, technical specifications, and discipline calculations across multiple stop locations.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce the<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design Brief<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>and the<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>mechanical technical specifications<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>plumbing and fire fighting calculations<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>across stops.<\/li>\n<li>Define<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>platform drains, slab penetrations, sleeves, and pipe routing<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Issue the<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>schedule of locations, invert levels, and pipe sizes<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>required by<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>Civil &amp; Utilities<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Define<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>floor drainage, sumps, water piping, and drainage piping<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>across sites.<\/li>\n<li>Review<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>plumbing plans, fire fighting plans, piping sections, and details<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>prepared by the<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>Mechanical Modeller<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>handover point<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>with the<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>Civil Engineer (Grading and Drainage)<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>where mechanical drainage connects to the civil storm network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><em>University degree<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>in Mechanical Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>10 years of experience<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>in<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>mechanical design<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>for buildings or transit infrastructure, covering<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and building services<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><em>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>in Mechanical Engineering, licensed or eligible for licensure in Ontario.<\/li>\n<li>Experience defining<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>slab penetrations, floor drainage, sumps, and service connections<\/em><span>&nbsp;<\/span>and issuing them to a<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>civil contractor<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>OBC, NFPA, and CSA B149<\/em>, as well as<span>&nbsp;<\/span><em>Ontario plumbing and fire protection requirements<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
