SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">Understand better who we are by visiting www.systracanada.com.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">Systra is looking for an Environmental Manager to join the growing team in Ontario.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Environmental Lead in implementing environmental requirements across project design and delivery;<\/li>\n<li>Completes the review of previously completed investigations and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Identify data gaps and commitments.<\/li>\n<li>Oversees development of the DD&amp;I scope and schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates with the Environmental Design and Approvals Manager for applicable subject matter expert teams.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the subject matter expert team tasked to complete DD&amp;I work and reporting for area of responsibility.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Incorporates requirements and commitments into design.<\/li>\n<li>Confirms that requirements and commitments are executed. Leads environmental design integration across all technical disciplines for their area of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates with design teams, construction leads, and regulators to resolve environmental risks.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for environmental deliverables (including EMPs), schedules, and multidisciplinary coordination.<\/li>\n<li>assist with preparation and review of environmental documentation and drawings;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology or related field;<\/li>\n<li>6+ years of work-related experience on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity to the Project;<\/li>\n<li>knowledge of the Province of Ontario&rsquo;s Transit Rail Project Assessment Process, GO Transit Class EA Document, and Environmental Assessment Act (Ontario);<\/li>\n<li>Experience in successfully managing all Environmental Aspects of transit projects in the Province of Ontario;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of relevant federal and Ontario environmental policies, procedures and legislation;<\/li>\n<li>Experience with implementation and management of environmental management systems that conform to ISO 14001;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Experience liaising with other specialty consultants, contractors and Governmental Authorities; and<\/li>\n<li>Experience with similar projects in the Province of Ontario.understanding of environmental mitigation and monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Environmental certifications (e.g., EPt, ECO Canada credentials) considered an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
