ensuring Structural Integrity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SYSTRA has been appointed to undertake structural assessments of Network Rail Bridges in the Eastern Region for Network Rail. This requires us to undertake site inspections and structural calculations to check the condition and capacity of the bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These inspections are essential to the management of Network Rail’s asset portfolio. With a work bank (WB) provided each year, for 5 years before rolling review, this provides a foundation for growth and development in both bridges<\/a>, structures<\/a> and site services<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innovative Design Collaboration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The scheme was delivered through a traditional procurement strategy, with SYSTRA\u2019s multi-disciplinary design team appointed for the design, construction and installation of the 30 metre wide Vierendeel truss transfer deck, the largest pedestrian structure in the UK rail system, the station concourse, refurbishment of. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to supplement our architectural team<\/a>, we partnered with internationally renowned architects \u2013 Grimshaw, to develop the Architectural concept, which SYSTRA then developed within the detail design phase of design. Over the course of the project we forged a strong working relationship with Grimshaw, where our individual specialisms in concept and detail design complemented each other.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
