The collective approach creates a more supportive and interconnected world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our \u2018Connected Teams\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/uk\/who-we-are\/ambition-values\/\">value at SYSTRA<\/a> aligns with the IWD position &#8211; that collaboration and generosity\u00a0are\u00a0key to advance gender equality.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This value speaks to our href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/uk\/careers\/our-colleagues\/michelle-flint\/\">Michelle Flint<\/a>, Discipline Lead (Systems), oversees project performance and is clear in what she\u00a0is able to\u00a0give back to her teams: \u201cI bring a female perspective and dynamic to what is usually a very male dominated workplace.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A key benefit of SYSTRA for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/uk\/careers\/our-colleagues\/holly-wallace\/\">Holly Wallace<\/a>, the day job \u2013 from being a Wellbeing Champion or part of the ED&amp;I colleague engagement group, to getting involved in social events like Pride and entering awards.<\/p>\n<cite>Holly Wallace, Sales Support Team Lead<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Social and Market Research Director, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/uk\/careers\/our-colleagues\/sally-mcnamara\/\">Sally McNamara<\/a>, says at SYSTRA, we\u00a0have a broad understanding of diversity being about\u202feveryone\u202fbeing able to be who they are.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>And&nbsp;this is reflected, she says, in how she has been treated at work: \u201cI felt welcomed and valued from the moment I joined, and feel very comfortable being able to work in the way that suits me, making my own contribution as part of a supportive team.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>And for our early careers,&nbsp;it\u2019s&nbsp;even more important to give that&nbsp;support&nbsp;so all colleagues gain valuable insights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Technician\u00a0Degree Apprentice, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/uk\/careers\/early-careers\/meet-our-apprentices-and-graduates\/sahina-sameerah\/\">Sahina Sameerah<\/a>, said: \u201cI would\u00a0definitely say\u00a0I have become a lot more confident through my apprenticeship due to collaborating and working with people from various disciplines and studying at university.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have been given opportunities where I have been able to step out of my comfort zone which has helped my confidence massively.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/uk\/careers\/early-careers\/meet-our-apprentices-and-graduates\/kristy-fok\/\">Kristy Fok<\/a>, Assistant\u00a0Engineer for track, said the guidance given during the graduate programme has helped her grow personally.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve became more confident in myself and more willing to express my opinions since embarking on a graduate programme,\u201d she said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI believe this is a result of knowing that people I work with are willing to listen to what I have to say and take my thoughts into consideration.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Transport Planner Level 3 Apprentice, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/uk\/careers\/early-careers\/meet-our-apprentices-and-graduates\/gracie-belwood\/\">Gracie Belwood<\/a>, says she feels empowered by the workplace culture to offer her own perspectives.
