SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">Understand better who we are by visiting www.systracanada.com.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">Geotechnical Designers needed for Transit Projects in Ontario<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical services primarily focused on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg. 153\/04 requirements<\/li>\n<li>Technical services related to Excess Soil Management to O.Reg. 406\/19 requirements<\/li>\n<li>Design foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks<\/li>\n<li>Conduct site investigations and soil sampling<\/li>\n<li>Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions<\/li>\n<li>Perform geotechnical analysis and interpret data<\/li>\n<li>Experience in completing peer reviews of technical documents and reports<\/li>\n<li>Draw on technical skills and expertise to design, install, and conduct ongoing maintenance of remediation systems<\/li>\n<li>Working familiarity with Ontario Regulation 153\/04 and Ontario Regulation 406\/19<\/li>\n<li>Scope &amp; Report preparation<br \/>Review and evaluate the technical work of other staff<\/li>\n<li>Maintain excellent client relationships in various industries\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"_95f96649 b7c8e428\">\n<li>10+ years of experience in environmental assessments and excess soil<\/li>\n<li>P.Eng. or P.Geo license in Ontario and QPESA designation required<\/li>\n<li>University degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Geology<\/li>\n<li>Highly technical abilities in environmental site assessment and remediation design, combined with a mechanical aptitude<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of risk assessment\/remediation systems\/techniques<\/li>\n<li>Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153\/04, as amended (including the filing of Record of Site Condition)<\/li>\n<li>Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406\/19, as amended<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and put forth creative solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
