The Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS Link) is a cross-border guided transit system planned by the Singapore and Malaysian Governments to improve the connectivity between both countries. The RTS Link is a rail transit of approximately 4km in length connecting Woodlands North Station on Singapore side with Bukit Chagar Station in Johor Bahru on Malaysia side.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SYSTRA provides Independent Verification & Validation services to assess and certify that the RTS link system is safe to operate and meets the Employers\u2019 expectations in terms of functional performance and RAM.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a consortium led by SYSTRA SA with the Malaysian engineering firm Minconsult and Bureau Veritas Singapore, we will carry out an independent verification and validation (IV&V) assignment for the entire project scope, on behalf of the Malaysian Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ensure that the cross-border Rapid Transit System (RTS) line meets the safety regulations of both states. This line, which will carry its first passengers from the end of 2026, will link the city-state of Singapore to the Malaysian peninsula in the form of a cross-border metro-type shuttle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We rely on our longstanding local presence and references, including audits of the Singapore Metro North-South and East-West lines from 2013 to 2019, as well as the design and technical support during the construction phase of the new LRT3 line in Kuala Lumpur to carry out our audit & assessment of RTS Link project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The audit & assessment covers all phases, from Design to Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance, and all urban railway systems such as Automatic Signalling, Rolling Stock, Control Centre, and Traction Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once operational, the Singapore-Johor Bahru RTS line will facilitate cross-border travel between the two states and help relieve congestion on the coastal road. Passengers will benefit from a fully integrated service with local networks at each terminus, as well as quick connections with existing lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
