# Resident Engineer Trackwork

## Context

We are seeking a seasoned Resident Engineer Trackwork to lead onsite delivery
for the Civil/Tracks package within a railway project. Operating under a PMC
scope and embedded alongside the client and contractors, you will oversee
construction quality, safety, progress, interfaces, and compliance with contract
and regulatory requirements.

## Missions/Main Duties

- Participate in design reviews & meetings and ensure accurate execution of
  works as per design specifications and contractual requirements.
- Review and approve track construction method statements and material
  submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Manage and supervise track construction works, monitoring contractors and
  subcontractors for safety, quality, and progress.
- Analyze contractors’ plans, highlight key issues, and provide mitigation plans
  to inform client decision-making.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders as
  required.
- Lead and guide a team of inspectors, overseeing daily tasks, inspections, and
  mentoring for professional development.

## Profile/Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; Master’s degree
  is an advantage.
- 10–15+ years of rail trackwork experience, including at least 10 years in a
  resident/site engineering leadership role on metro, mainline, or high speed
  projects.
- Demonstrated PMC/client-side supervision on large, multi-package programs.
- Strong knowledge of track systems (ballasted/ballastless), track geometry and
  tolerances, welding (aluminothermic/flash-butt), stressing, and handback
  criteria, plus associated civil works.
- Rigorous attention to safety, quality, and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving, risk identification, and mitigation skills under
  schedule pressure.
- GCC Experience
