## Context

## Missions/Main Duties

- Chief Safety Expert (SHE) assists Project Director/Dy. Project Director in
  coordinating the Safety issues with construction contractors as well as the
  Employer and other stakeholders.
- Ensures implementation of approved Safety Plan.
- Assistance in preparation of preliminary design and tender for elevated
  portions/stations and service buildings
- Assistance in preparation of Tender Document for procurement of system,
  rolling stock and depot equipment
- Recommends addition / alteration in safety plan with changes in field
  conditions or additional plant, machinery or equipment brought for use by
  construction contractor.
- Trains and educates the engineers of the contractors and Employer on safety
  issues.
- Conducts site inspections to check and ensure compliance to the safety plans.
- Supervises and educates the Construction Safety Engineers in monitoring the
  safety measures of D&B Contractors.
- KRAs include Quality, Environment, H&S assurance, Health and Safety, Audits,
  Security Management, Disaster Management
- Interface co-ordination with civil & system contractors
- Day to day planning of construction activities
- Compliance of all safety & quality observations
- Compliance of all safety & quality observations
- Construction at site as per approved method statement

## Profile/Skills

- Work experience in both an independent and team-oriented, collaborative
  environment is essential.
- Strong team player and effective team leader.
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through patience,
  analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to read communication styles of team members and clients who come from
  a broad spectrum of disciplines.
- Strong interpersonal skills are a must.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills.
- Ensure compliance of the Systra Group policies, particularly on ethics, safety
  and adherence to Company ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards
