# Design Build Project Manager

## Context

We’re looking for a new **Design Build Project Manager **in our
** Systems & Power Sector** to help drive the objectives and challenges our
valued clients have trusted us to solve for them.  This opportunity will be
assigned/based at our New York project office. 

 

As a SYSTRA US **Design Build Project Manager **you will join a world-class team
of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work
collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on
track and budget.

## Missions/Main Duties

Design Build Project Manager

 

- Provide technical leadership and facilitate multi-discipline design-build team
  collaboration. Familiarity with Transit and Rail disciplines such as signal,
  structures, traction power, track, rail grade crossings, Overhead Catenary
  Systems, and System Safety and Integration
- Manage schedule delivery for Final Design Documents
- Contract Management including change order development and negotiation
- Conduct monthly Project Reviews including cost reporting, and budget control
  activities throughout the life of the project with Project Controller and
  Department Manager.Monthly Budget Control including invoicing for construction
  support activities and design activities.
- Track financial aspects of projects, coordinate and adjust work effort with
  team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
- Point of client interface and accountability. Attend weekly meetings via Teams
  or at the field office. Field visits may be needed depending on project needs.
  Ability to obtain Roadway Worker Protection certification for several NYC
  Agencies.
- Risk management by defining and negotiating out-of-scope requests.
- Quality Control and Quality Assurance for over 50 deliverables packages, which
  include design drawings, specifications, design exceptions requests, reports,
  calculations.
- Managing Construction activities such as RFI’s, Directions from Designers,
  Submittal review.
- Leadership Abilities to manage dynamic complex design-build environments

## Profile/Skills

Required Qualifications:

- Four-year degree in a civil engineering discipline
- 15-20 or more years of relevant experience, 15 of which demonstrates
  experience on multi-discipline rail infrastructure projects
- Prior work managing/leading multi-discipline transit and rail design projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with different types of project delivery methods
- Experience leading large groups in multidisciplined specialties

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree(s)
- PE licensing in multiple states
- Experience with various city and state transportation organizations
- Member of ASCE, AREMA or APTA

Salary Range: $175,000-208,000, SYSTRA USA is providing the compensation range
that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on
the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and
abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
