# Contracts Engineer K5- MML5&9

## Context

Managing prime contract and subcontracts for a high-value, multi-disciplinary
Metro Rail project. Reporting to the Project Director to safeguard the General
Contractor’s (GC) commercial interests and legal compliance.

## Missions/Main Duties

- **Contract Administration:** Ensure full compliance with Prime Contract
  (FIDIC/Bespoke) and manage all formal correspondence.
- **Claims & Variations:** Identify, draft, and negotiate
  **Extension of Time (EoT)**, variation orders, and cost claims.
- **Subcontract Management:** Oversee the entire subcontract lifecycle, from
  tendering to final account closure.
- **Risk Mitigation:** Early identification of contractual risks and drafting
  “Notices of Delay” to protect the GC.
- **Financial Tracking:** Review progress payments, price adjustments, and
  liquidated damages.

## Profile/Skills

- **Technical:** Strong grasp of **FIDIC**, contract law, and Quantity Surveying
  (QS).
- **Project Controls:** Ability to link construction delays (Primavera/MS
  Project) to contractual impact.
- **Soft Skills:** High-level negotiation, persuasive legal drafting, and
  dispute resolution.
- **Experience:** 3-5years in infrastructure; 3+ years specifically in
  **Metro/Heavy Civil** projects.
- **Qualification:** B.Tech Civil + PG in Construction Management or RICS/LLM
  (preferred).
