The automatic metro line (LRT) connecting Busan to Gimhae via Busan airport has been constructed under the Korean Act governing private public partnerships in infrastructure projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The project is implemented under a BOT contract.\u00a0The Implementation Agreement was signed on 13 December 2002 between the Korean authorities and the concessionnaire, Busan \u2013 Gimhae Light Rail Transit (BGL). CAPEX: \u20ac 700 millions (estimated).\u00a0Main features of the line include;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 23 km entirely elevated line (viaduct), standard gauge <\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 21 stations and 1 depot<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • CBTC GoA4 (UTO)<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 28 m long trainsets (2 coaches on 3 bogies) without driver.<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Our Scope<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    <\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Under the construction contract, within the Construction Joint Venture involving HDC, POSCO and SYSTRA:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • design of the viaduct superstructures (23 km) and review of the design (substructure and stations) produced by our Korean partner Dong \u2013 Il,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • management of the interfaces between civil engineering and systems,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • assistance with testing and commissioning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Under a direct project management contract with BGL, the concessionnaire:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Planning,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Documentation management,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
        <\/div>\n\n\n\n

        SYSTRA was also in charge of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Consulting Services. The line is constructed under the Korean Act governing private public partnerships in infrastructure projects, under BOT scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        In the frame of O&M contract signed on January 24, 2011, SYSTRA provided the following services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Preparation of request for bid proposal<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Assessment on bid proposal<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Negotiatio<\/code>n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Coordination between our consulting team of O&M preparation and O&M company (Seoul Metro Consortium, Operation company of BGLRT Line)<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Support to the operator for System Safety.<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Technical support to the operator during the trial run period, system supplied by Thales.<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Preparation of guidelines for all the technical management plans such as System Assurance, T&C, Interface, and so on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
