In connection with the extension of the current E18 to a four-lane highway class H9, a new bridge will be built since the existing bridge doesn\u2019t have the capacity for additional lanes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-bridge\">The Bridge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The New Grenland bridge is a single pylon cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 330m long. Total length of the bridge is 604m (from A1 to A8). The pylon is H-shaped with a top elevation of +166 m. The deck is made of a steel box girder from A1 to P3 and of a steel composite box girder from P3 to A8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two parts of the deck are launched (from A1 to P2 and from A8 to P3), these parts of the deck are reinforced by two central beams allowing the launching. The main span is erected by 21 m long steel segments in free cantilever lifted by a derrick travelling on the completed steel structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-scope\">OUR SCOPE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Design Joint Venture (DJV) composed by SYSTRA SA, SYSTRA IBT Dubai and SYSTRA Korea is carrying out the detailed design for the new bridge.
