Any engagement will be subject to successful project award and final client approval.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">The Project Director will provide overall leadership and strategic direction for PMCM services on roads and bridges projects, acting as the primary point of accountability for project performance and client satisfaction. The role will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that all project objectives are achieved in line with contractual obligations and corporate standards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">Subject to project award, the successful candidate will lead project planning, mobilization, execution, and close-out activities, while establishing robust governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination processes. They will oversee project controls, construction supervision interfaces, consultant and contractor performance, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">The Project Director will also be expected to maintain strong relationships with clients, government authorities, contractors, and key stakeholders, while supporting business growth through opportunity identification, bid support, and strategic client engagement where required.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and direct PMCM delivery for major roads and bridges projects from inception through completion, subject to award.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the senior client interface and ensure effective stakeholder management at all levels.<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership to project managers, discipline leads, construction management teams, and support functions.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and monitor project delivery strategies, execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective management of scope, risk, change control, quality, HSE, and commercial performance.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee design coordination, construction supervision, contract administration, and project controls functions.<\/li>\n<li>Drive timely decision-making and resolution of technical, contractual, and operational issues.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with client requirements, local regulations, and company procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and present executive-level progress reports, dashboards, and performance updates.<\/li>\n<li>Support recruitment, mentoring, and development of project team members.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to bid preparation, technical proposals, and strategic positioning for future PMCM opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<div class=\"overflow-hidden h-full w-full relative flex flex-col\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<div class=\"h-full w-full rounded-[inherit]\" data-reka-scroll-area-viewport=\"\">\n<div id=\"message-container\" class=\"h-full w-full max-w-[860px] m-auto px-12 relative pb-48 pt-16 flex flex-col\">\n<div class=\"messages flex flex-col\">\n<div class=\"flex flex-col\">\n<div class=\"self-start flex flex-col w-full\">\n<div class=\"message_container my-4 break-words\">\n<div class=\"flex gap-4 w-full\">\n<div class=\"message_content flex-1 w-full flex flex-col gap-3\">\n<div class=\"prose\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced infrastructure leader with a strong track record of delivering large, complex roads and bridges projects under PMCM or similar consultancy-led delivery models. They will possess excellent leadership, communication, commercial, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in demanding, high-profile project environments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"search-container flex flex-col justify-center items-center gap-4 absolute w-full px-4 bottom-4\">\n<div id=\"search_bar\" class=\"search-form w-full max-w-[860px] m-auto flex flex-col gap-2 bg-background rounded-3xl border border-border p-4 shadow-md\">\n<div class=\"search-input relative flex-1 flex flex-col gap-1\">\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in&nbsp;Civil Engineering&nbsp;or a related engineering discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum&nbsp;20 years of relevant professional experience&nbsp;in infrastructure project delivery, with a strong emphasis on&nbsp;site-based execution&nbsp;and&nbsp;project delivery leadership&nbsp;for major roads and bridges projects.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing projects through key delivery stages, including mobilization, construction supervision, interface management, testing and commissioning, project close-out, and handover.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in leading the&nbsp;day-to-day delivery&nbsp;of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring performance against programme, budget, quality, and contractual obligations.<\/li>\n<li>Strong practical experience in&nbsp;construction management, site operations, contractor oversight, supervision teams, and resolution of on-site technical and operational issues.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary site teams and coordinate effectively across contractors, designers, client representatives, authorities, and other project stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>GCC experience is mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>KSA experience is a strong advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Engineer status is preferred&nbsp;or equivalent recognized professional accreditation.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of&nbsp;SHEQ&nbsp;principles, standards, and implementation practices across major infrastructure projects.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to&nbsp;Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality&nbsp;leadership, with the ability to embed a strong SHEQ culture across project teams and supply chain partners.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in promoting safe working practices, quality compliance, risk mitigation, incident prevention, and continuous improvement throughout project delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of contract administration, construction management, project controls, change management, and stakeholder coordination in live project environments.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.<\/li>\n<li>Strong client-facing presence and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and public-sector entities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">Systra is an equal opportunities company; this position is open to all applicants.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SYSTRA is one of the world&#8217;s leading engineering and consultancy groups specialising in public transport and sustainable mobility.
