SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">As a Communications Intern, you will support the internal communications team in delivering clear, engaging, and accurate communications across the organization. You will contribute to a variety of projects while gaining practical experience in corporate communications.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the creation, drafting, editing, proofreading, and distribution of internal and external communications, including newsletters, announcements, and employee messages.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development, maintenance, and updating of content for the company intranet and other internal digital channels, ensuring information is current, accurate, and relevant.<\/li>\n<li>Research and draft internal articles by gathering information from stakeholders and collaborating with teams across the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Support the planning and execution of internal communications campaigns by preparing content, coordinating with internal contributors, and helping adapt messages for different audiences and communication channels.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the delivery of internal events such as Town Halls and employee engagement activities.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to effective audience targeting by applying internal communications best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and support day-to-day corporate communications activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Education:<\/strong> Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Years of experience:<\/strong> Previous internship, volunteer, campus, or extracurricular experience in communications, content creation, event support, or related activities is considered an asset.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Technical competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills in both in French and English, including basic copyediting in both languages.*<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable using Canva and\/or Adobe Suite.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with SharePoint is considered an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to synthesize information and write clear, engaging messages for a variety of audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Strong research skills and ability to gather information to develop well-informed content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>*Reasons for requiring bilingualism:<\/strong> You will have the opportunity to work with a varied clientele, including both French- and English-speaking companies.
