Lead HSE Engineer-Green Line<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
1. Inspections & Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n Conduct frequent site inspections and audits according to the project HSE plan.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Monitor construction activities to ensure execution aligns with the Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ensure all site functions comply with MSRA (Method Statements & Risk Assessments)<\/strong>, PTW (Permit to Work)<\/strong>, and lifting plans.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Verify that employees are using proper, safe tools and that all goods\/materials are handled and stored securely.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n 2. Monitoring & Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n Generate weekly reports detailing unsafe findings, unsafe acts, and non-conformities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Immediately report HSE incidents or deviations to senior leadership.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Maintain and update performance logs and rectification status reports.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Follow up on corrective action plans with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure 100% closure of issues.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n 3. Training & Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n Conduct mandatory HSE induction training for all newcomers and maintain accurate records.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Lead and participate in regular Toolbox Talks<\/strong> and site “walk-downs” with senior management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Support visible HSE leadership by promoting a proactive hazard-reporting culture among site staff.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n 4. Emergency Management & Investigation<\/strong><\/p>\n Lead investigations following any site accident or near-miss to identify root causes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ensure evacuation procedures and protocols are updated and clearly communicated.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Participate in incident control duties during emergencies and coordinate with the emergency group for facility drills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Degree:<\/strong> Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any discipline).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Certifications:<\/strong> Professional HSE credentials such as NEBOSH<\/strong> (IGC\/Diploma), IOSH<\/strong>, or OSHA<\/strong> are highly desirable.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Industry Tenure:<\/strong> 8-10 years<\/strong> of dedicated HSE management experience within the Construction industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Systems Development:<\/strong> Proven track record in developing and implementing comprehensive Safety Management Systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Risk Management:<\/strong> Extensive experience in conducting detailed risk assessments and hazard identification.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Regulatory Expertise:<\/strong> In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, legislation, and industry standards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Reporting:<\/strong> Advanced ability to create technical HSE documentation, performance reports, and statistical analysis.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Problem Solving:<\/strong> Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex HSE challenges and implement sustainable, effective solutions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Communication:<\/strong> Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with diverse teams and project stakeholders.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Language:<\/strong> High proficiency in English<\/strong> (written and verbal).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Proficient in MS Office Suite<\/strong> (specifically Excel for data tracking, Word for reporting, and PowerPoint for safety presentations).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Systra is an equal opportunities company; this position is open to all applicants.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" SYSTRA is one of the world’s leading engineering and consultancy groups specialising in public transport and sustainable mobility.
