With over 10,300 colleagues globally and around 1000 in the UK &amp; Ireland we are growing significantly and seeking out the very best talent to join the SYSTRA signature team and be part of leading the way in infrastructure design.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">We are looking for a Principal or Senior Consultant who is an experienced engineer in Human Factors and is able to demonstrate a good knowledge and application of standards and best practice. The Senior\/Principal Consultant is expected to deliver specialised workstreams, both internally and externally and contribute expertise to bids and projects across the SYSTRA group. The Consultant would also be required to seek out, bid for, manage small projects, and support Principal Consultants in the bid management and delivery management for medium sized projects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">You&rsquo;ll be part of a well-established team with a strong track record across both engineering and consultancy-led projects. As a consultant, you&rsquo;ll be expected to apply a solid understanding of Human Factors standards and best practices to real-world challenges.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, write, review and issue client deliverables with necessary support.<\/li>\n<li>Lead small sized projects.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a representative for their areas of knowledge, both within SYSTRA and externally.<\/li>\n<li>Manage project performance and take necessary corrective action to ensure commitments made are delivered.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain competencies to industry and company standards.<\/li>\n<li>Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff, public and others.<\/li>\n<li>Support their team in securing business by developing and maintaining contacts with clients.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the safety of staff, and others, affected by the operations effective systems and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Support the workstream owner by delivering technical work to a high standard.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake client and site visits as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Technical skills \/ knowledge<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Systems Human Factors approach.<\/li>\n<li>Human factors integration and assurance across the project lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li>User-centred design approach to project delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Human error and human reliability analysis e.g., fault trees, hazard identification and risk assessments (HazID).<\/li>\n<li>Qualitative and quantitative methods to identify user requirements e.g., workshop facilitation, focus groups, interviews, questionnaires and observations.<\/li>\n<li>Methods to understand the impact of change e.g., task analyses, day in the life of (DITLO).<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of performance and safety shaping factors in the context of the wider system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc or BEng discipline specific degree qualified.<\/li>\n<li>Chartered status or working towards such accreditation with relevant professional body, e.g. IET, CIEHF.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Membership with relevant professional body, e.g. IET, CIEHF.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum four (4) years of discipline specific industry experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p>..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Around the world, SYSTRA&rsquo;s specialists plan, design, integrate, test, commission, project manage and deliver mass transit and mobility solutions that are relied on by more than 50 million people every day. &nbsp;
