{"id":39324,"date":"2025-11-27T15:27:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T15:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/ireland\/?p=39324"},"modified":"2025-11-27T15:27:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T15:27:28","slug":"systra-supports-the-irish-cancer-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/ireland\/news\/systra-supports-the-irish-cancer-society\/","title":{"rendered":"SYSTRA supports the Irish Cancer Society"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The charity, which supports people affected by cancer across Ireland, was chosen in a vote by colleagues based at SYSTRA\u2019s offices in Cork and Dublin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as making a one-off donation on behalf of the company, colleagues are getting involved in a number of fundraising activities during the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul Morgan, Head of Legal for SYSTRA Limited, said: \u201cWe\u2019re really proud to be supporting the Irish Cancer Society. One in two of us will hear the words \u2018you\u2019ve got cancer\u2019 in our lifetimes, sadly there isn\u2019t a family in Ireland who hasn\u2019t felt the impact of a cancer diagnosis. The Irish Cancer Society typically receives just 5% of our funding from Government, so without the amazing support of companies like SYSTRA, we would not be able to be there for people affected by cancer, when they need us most. Your generous donations fund life-changing cancer research projects in addition to our free vital support services like our Night Nursing, counselling and transport to treatment.
