{"id":27958,"date":"2025-03-31T13:25:53","date_gmt":"2025-03-31T12:25:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/ireland\/?p=27958"},"modified":"2025-03-31T16:36:35","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T15:36:35","slug":"arup-systra-jv-set-to-support-network-rail-in-breathing-new-life-into-the-rail-network-across-northern-england","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/ireland\/news\/arup-systra-jv-set-to-support-network-rail-in-breathing-new-life-into-the-rail-network-across-northern-england\/","title":{"rendered":"Arup SYSTRA JV set to support Network Rail in breathing new life into the rail network across Northern England"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Arup and SYSTRA, in a 50\/50 joint venture (JV) with strategic delivery partner Skanska, have secured a position on Network Rail\u2019s prestigious Eastern Region Development and Design Partnership Framework (DDPF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u00a3300 million framework, which spans five years with potential for a three-year extension, will oversee multi-disciplinary design and development services, including the Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) portfolio, the Integrated Rail Plan and other enhancement projects across the Eastern region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:43px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile is-image-fill-element has-pale-blue-background-color has-background\" style=\"grid-template-columns:30% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2025\/03\/nick-salt_preferred-dsc8574-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35389 size-full\" style=\"object-position:39% 8%\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>This is a significant strategic placement for SYSTRA, Arup and Skanska, putting us at the forefront of rail improvements for the region.<\/p>\n<cite>Nick Salt, Chief Executive, SYSTRA Ltd<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:43px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Arup and SYSTRA collectively bring a wealth of experience and geographical knowledge across the framework area, from their complementary involvement in the West and East Alliances of TransPennine Route Upgrade and the East Coast Main Line Power Supply Upgrade, in addition to the insights and relationships built during previous work for Network Rail and sub-national transport body Transport for the North.
