{"id":20999,"date":"2024-11-21T11:52:40","date_gmt":"2024-11-21T11:52:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/ireland\/?p=20999"},"modified":"2024-11-21T11:52:40","modified_gmt":"2024-11-21T11:52:40","slug":"double-win-for-systra-at-the-institution-of-structural-engineers-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/ireland\/news\/double-win-for-systra-at-the-institution-of-structural-engineers-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Double win for SYSTRA at the Institution of Structural Engineers Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Winning the Profession Award for raising design standards and inspirational work, the A452 Kenilworth Road Overbridge showcased how the team (working over 8 countries) worked together to deliver the longest and highest box structure on the entire HS2 project.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The M42\/M6 Link East and West Viaducts were overall winners for the Process Award, with the design team impressing judges by minimising traffic disruption to two of Birmingham&#8217;s busiest motorways. A UK-first push and pull technique was used to launch the viaducts making up the complex Delta Junction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Alan Eaton, Senior Technical Director, commented: \u201cIt was a wonderful evening showcasing the capabilities of the whole team and celebrating the innovative and collaborative approach that has been brought to life on the A452 and M42-M6 work for HS2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m proud that these awards reflect SYSTRA\u2019s global excellence and connected teams approach, demonstrating how we work together collaboratively to develop sustainable solutions to overcome some significant technical challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:43px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
