The system is built on a modular architecture, allowing SYSTRA to customise the
platform to local authorities’ specific operational needs. It is built for scale

PT-Insight also integrates with other systems, exchanging data with journey

#### Transforming transport data management

PT-Insight helps address the challenges of data accuracy and integration by
focusing on three key areas:

  PT-Insight provides one central system for all your transport data. This
  ensures every department works with the same accurate information, removing
  the risk of conflicting or out-of-date records.

- **Reduced costs:** Automated workflows for contract management, work orders,
  and invoicing reduce the administrative burden on your teams. This improves
  accuracy for mileage and cost calculations while saving money.

- **Passenger confidence**: Deliver precise, up-to-the-minute information via
  roadside displays, printed timetables and data feeds to journey planners and
  real-time systems, so passengers always know when and where services are
  running.

#### A suite of transport management modules

A wide range of modules are available with PT-Insight designed to handle the
day-to-day duties of a busy transport authority.

- **Visual route building (GIS):** Use integrated mapping to create and edit bus
  routes between stops. You can manage stop infrastructure and NaPTAN details,
  and view associated works orders directly on the map.
- **Timetable management:** Maintain bus timetable trips by defining routes,
  timing points, and operating calendars. This includes managing special days of
  operation like Christmas and bank holidays.
- **Roadside displays:** Automatically produce batches of timetables for bus
  shelters in multiple styles and sizes based on planned service changes.
- **Data exchange:** Export planned timetables to TransXChange XML format to
  supply accurate data for journey planners and real-time displays, ensuring
  compliance with national standards like BODS.
- **Education ticketing:** Manage the full process for school bus passes, from
  assigning pupils to the nearest services to issuing paper or smart tickets.
  The system also handles payments and sends automated renewal notifications to
  parents.

#### Web portals and self-service tools

Web-based portals extend the reach of the core system and streamline
collaboration with external partners.

- **Taxi operator portal: **Supports online management of SEN and taxi
  contracts, including tendering, automated invoicing, automatic approval of
  invoices that match expected values, and email notification of new tenders to
  operators.

- **Works orders portal: **Provides online management of works orders for bus
  shelter contractors, allowing them to view and action the latest requirements,
  upload photos of work undertaken, and update the status of repairs in real
  time.

#### Staying compliant with national standards

Meeting national standards like the Bus Open Data Service (BODS) is vital. We
have enhanced PT-Insight to ensure all outputs comply with the Bus Open Data
Service (BODS) TransXChange PTI profile.

The system supports the import and export of all standard data formats,
including TransXChange, NaPTAN, and ATCO-CIF. Our software developers and
transport systems implementation specialists work closely with industry groups,
such as the Public Transport Information Coordination Group (PTIC), to ensure
our software always reflects the latest industry requirements.

SYSTRA has a long-standing partnership with local authorities, including
Hertfordshire County Council and Nottinghamshire County Council. At WYCA, it was
one of the first transport systems in the UK to provide a fully integrated
software application and has been operational since 1998 and continues to
evolve.

of issues relating to input and management of public transport data, its

data related to your public transport network. SYSTRA provides PT-Insight to

for managing bus stops, timetables, and contracts. This centralised approach

infrastructure to finance, works from the same accurate information.

Achieving BODS compliance requires your data to meet specific national
standards, such as theTransXChange PTI profile. PT-Insight has been enhanced to
automatically handle these technical requirements, ensuring your timetable
outputs are accurate and ready for the national platform. Our software
