#### Creating a rail infrastructure fit for the future

Rail owners and operators must constantly develop, modernise and upgrade the
rail network and train services against a backdrop of constrained public-sector
finances. Reduced commuting in the wake of the pandemic has altered rail usage,

#### Multi-disciplinary support for rail renewals and enhancement projects

SYSTRA leads the way in developing, modernising and updating rail networks. We
work on a wide range of projects in the rail sector, including the design and
construction of new lines and the expansion and improvement of existing ones.

Working across a range of roles, from Consultant, Engineer, Lead Designer to
Alliance Partner and Construction Partner, SYSTRA is able to add value at all
stages of rail project delivery.

Our railway engineering services are informed by our deep understanding of
railway assets and how to maintain them efficiently and cost-effectively. In
addition, our specialist knowledge of design, integration and operation enables
our clients to deliver much-needed improvements to rail services and capacity,
while minimising disruption to passengers (using

#### Rail commercial and procurement support

Our dedicated rail teams provide innovative, safe and collaborative solutions
for clients. We deliver consultancy, design and construction services through
the entire project lifecycle. We are a centre of excellence in rail passenger
demand research, helping our clients to develop rail infrastructure projects
that meet real-world requirements.

We support clients with feasibility studies and business case development, to
help attract funding and gain stakeholder support, while developing rail
infrastructure that is affordable, deliverable and future-orientated. Our
expertise extends to fares and ticketing strategies, to reduce complexity for
passengers and increase ridership.

#### Rail infrastructure design, delivery and maintenance

Our knowledge and experience of conventional rail enables us to design ‘minimum
viable product’ solutions to meet client requirements, with operations and
maintenance factored into the design.

Clients rely on us to provide a full suite of site, project and contract
management services to oversee the timely delivery of rail development works. We
provide ongoing maintenance services to ensure our rail infrastructure projects
continue to fulfil their efficiency, safety and environmental objectives.

#### Working in partnership with Ireland rail

Major rail infrastructure schemes are highly complex, affect large numbers of
stakeholders and require safety-driven designs, implemented in challenging
operational environments. We have a track record of addressing all of these
challenges, by creating strong working partnerships with our government and
private- sector clients.

We continue to support Iarnród Éireann, National Transport Authority and
Department of Transport in the delivery of rail enhancements across Ireland,
through the provision of strategic advice, business case and scheme appraisal,
as well as technical solutions.

We also include key rail providers in the UK among our clients. They include
Network Rail, Department for Transport (DfT), Transport Scotland, Transport for
Wales and Transport for London (TfL). We also work with delivery contractors,
consultants and other rail service providers
