personal development. I’ve been given a lot of opportunities, especially when it
comes to learning new technologies.”

### Apprenticeships available at SYSTRA

SYSTRA takes on apprentices every year across most of our key engineering
disciplines. Apprenticeships are made up of 20% learning time alongside 80%
on-the-job experience. The learning element can be achieved on a weekly day
release to a college provider, or in some cases with one-week block release
programmes spread over the year.

The apprenticeship options available are:

**Level 3 Digital Engineering Apprenticeship **– providing a broad introduction
to digital engineering in year one, after which you select a technical pathway
(civil engineering, engineering systems, etc) to continue at Level 4 and beyond.
Entry requirements are five GCSEs, including Maths and English – and a keen
interest in our industry. This is a 3-year programme.

**Level 4 Apprenticeship/Degree Apprenticeship** – you can choose an
apprenticeship in various disciplines (civil engineering, rail systems
engineering, environmental, etc). Entry requirements are A-levels (subjects
dependent on discipline) or equivalent BTEC qualifications. This is a five-year
programme, resulting in a degree qualification
