**SYSTRA is engaged in consulting services for preparation of technical specification & Bid Management for Implementation of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system to enhance safety and to achieve improved headway on Mumbai Suburban Railway network of Western & Central Railways.**

## Key features of the project

- Detailed study of the existing system
- Detailed technical study of the additional infrastructure
  requirement/Augmentation in existing system including
  - Modifications to existing Interlocking system and communication system
  - Signalling modifications required due to increased traction current with
    improved headway operations
  - Augmentation of traction power supply & general power supply
  - Modifications to terminal yards & station layouts
  - Up-gradation, suitability/compatibility of Rolling Stock
  - Augmentation of facilities at existing EMU Car sheds & other maintenance
    facilities
- Preparation of Technical Specifications and Bid Documents of the Proposed CBTC
  system
- Operational Requirement for implementation & operation of CBTC & Data Security

- Simulation Study – Power Supply and Operation
