The Waaban Crossing (formerly known as Kingston 3rd Crossing) involves the construction of a 1.2 km (0.746 mi)<\/strong> bridge that extends over the Cataraqui River, connecting the eastside and westside communities. The bridge, the largest infrastructure project the City of Kingston has ever undertaken, has improved the roadway approaches, accommodating active transportation, providing modern roadway geometry, and tying into the existing road network.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
