**In 2022, the French Development Agency (AFD), as a financial partner of the **[**MobiliseYourCity (MYC) **](https://www.mobiliseyourcity.net/)**initiative, tasked SYSTRA with the creation of a reference guide to support public authorities and consultants in the analysis of their governance frameworks, as well as the design and implementation of institutional reforms.**

This guide, known as the Governance Toolkit, involved the conducting of case
studies focusing on urban mobility governance in six cities across Latin
America, Africa, and Asia, including numerous interviews.

The Governance Toolkit included four modules dedicated to:

- Concepts of governance,
- A governance diagnostic,
- Measures to improve the governance framework,
- Analysis of the governance frameworks in the cities of Curitiba (Brazil),
  Dakar (Senegal), Istanbul (Turkïye), Kochi (India), Rabat (Morocco), and Santo
  Domingo (Dominican Republic).

## SYSTRA and AFD: a long and successful collaboration

For the third time in a row, SYSTRA signed a multi-tender, multi-year framework
agreement with the AFD for studies, consultancy, and technical assistance
services relating to mobility and urban and suburban transport projects,
including several sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs).
