# Cycléo cycle path network – France

**Between 2018 and 2022, SYSTRA worked with Valence Romans Mobilités\\* on the creation of Cycléo, a new network of cycle lanes designed to increase cycling in the area.**

### EFFICIENT, CARBON-FREE MOBILITY

With this cycle network, Valence Romans Mobilités has given residents the
opportunity to opt for a new form of mobility: efficient and carbon-free. 16
itineraries will link 28 communes by means of adapted and safe facilities.

For this assignment, SYSTRA worked hand in hand with the Copenhagenize
agency\*\* which created the visual identity of the network and the principles
of marking. SYSTRA was in charge of the deployment strategy for the service
supports and signage.

Thus, nearly one hundred bike stations have been installed along the cycle
routes to guide users of this new service.

### VISUAL IDENTITY, ANOTHER FACET OF SYSTRA’S EXPERTISE

This project is the latest to be won by SYSTRA France’s Design & Information
division, whose references include the creation of the visual identity of the
Mumbai metro and the Algiers metro.

\*Valence Romans Mobilités is the public entity that finances, builds and
organises mobility throughout the Valence and Romans area (67 communes).

\*\* Copenhagenize Design Co. is a Danish consultancy created in 2009. It helps
local authorities around the world that want to develop cycle-friendly urban
planning, drawing inspiration in particular from the Danish capital.
