# Two SYSTRA projects completed in Istanbul

Our Turkish teams have handed over the detailed design studies for the Çapa and
Cerrahpaşa University Research Hospital Campuses in Istanbul by SYSTRA and RPA
Srl. In total, the surface area of these two campuses, which will bring together
a university research hospital and a medical faculty, is almost one million
square metres.

### Sustainable buildings in a complex environment

These projects are part of a programme to transform the city in the historic
Golden Horn peninsula. They raise issues of archaeological preservation in a
seismic zone. One of the challenges will also be compliance with the principles
of LEED\* Gold certification, which guarantees the construction of sustainable
and environmentally friendly buildings.

SYSTRA has been involved in preliminary studies for other university hospitals
in Istanbul as well, such as the Hasdal Medical School Campus and the Sultangazi
Vocational School.
