> These latest additions to two significant contracts are clear evidence of our
> client PKP PLK’s confidence in the expertise of our teams and their ability to
> carry out assignments involving many different competencies. I look forward to

## New environmental challenges for Line 131

At the end September 2022, SYSTRA Poland signed with PKP PLK for additional
scope of works to the main contract for the modernisation of railway Line 131 on
the section between Nakło Śląskie and Kalina, which forms part of the
Pan-European Transport Corridor VI linking Chorzów Batory and Maksymilianowo.

Among the numerous assignments included in the additional scope of works is a
supplementary nature inventory for the application of a new decision on
environmental conditions, the design of two additional bridges, two viaducts,
ten culverts, reconstruction of the railway viaduct within ul. Sienkiewicza in
Tarnowskie Góry, as well as reinforcement of track systems capacity on the
Kalety railway station.

## Line 12: a railway line of national importance

As well as the extra works on Line 131, SYSTRA Poland, again on behalf of PKP
PLK, is to carry out additional work on railway Line 12 between the towns of
Skierniewice and Łuków, thereby continuing the involvement of our Polish teams.
Line 12 runs from central to eastern Poland along a corridor forming part of the
trans-European transport network (TEN-T\*) programme.

These additional assignments concern the design of more platforms in seven
locations and the development of a programme and spatial concept design for the
overhead power supply line.

All the newly designed platforms are 200 metres long, take into consideration
the needs of persons with reduced mobility, and comply with interoperability
requirements. Under-track crossings are also to be designed at three locations.
