SYSTRA’s Indian teams will work for Vishwa Samudra Engineering Pvt Ltd (VSEPL)
on behalf of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited (BSRDCL).

## Enhancing connectivity and easing traffic congestion

The Digha–Sherpur–Koilwar section is one of Bihar’s most significant transport
infrastructure projects. Designed to improve connectivity and reduce congestion,
the section of more than 35km includes approximately 17km of elevated roadway
and five interchanges.

> We’re delighted to be part of a project that will make a real difference to
> daily travel in and around Patna. By helping improve connections and reduce
> congestion, this new section of the Ganga Path will benefit communities,
> businesses and the wider region for years to come.
> Amit Aggarwal, Vice President – Highway Design, SYSTRA India

Located along the Ganga River, the project presents significant engineering
challenges, requiring careful design of elevated sections and other highway
features within a constrained riverfront environment.

Once completed, it will serve as a strategic corridor for both regional and
inter-state mobility, improving links between Patna and other major hubs along
the Ganga River.

## Part of a wider development

This section forms part of the wider Ganga Path programme, a major riverfront
expressway initiative intended to enhance connectivity and support economic
development across Bihar.

By improving traffic flow in Patna and facilitating smoother movement of both
people and goods, the Digha–Sherpur–Koilwar stretch is expected to make a
significant contribution to the state’s transport network and long-term
development.
