# Track Engineer

## Context

SYSTRA is the Lead Consultant for the HSR project between Ho Chi Minh City and
Can Gio.

The Track Engineer will support the Civil and Trackwork Manager (International)
in all technical activities of the Lead Consultant related to Trackwork design
and construction.

## Missions/Main Duties

- Coordinate the review of trackwork design for viaducts and bridges, including
  alignment design, track layout, detailed trackwork design, concrete structures
  and trackwork equipment.
- Carry out design reviews when required, prepare Review Comment Sheets (RCS)
  and provide technical comments.
- Monitor and update the list of RCS issued by the Lead Consultant and follow up
  the issuance of design packages to ensure reviews are completed on time.
- Coordinate with VSP, SGC, contractors and designers to resolve design review
  issues and support the issuance of SONO.
- Contribute to the update and finalization of the Design Management Plan and
  monitor compliance with the defined design management processes.
- Liaise with the external ICE when required.
- Support Lead Consultant construction supervision activities, including site
  audits, hold points and resolution of site issues.
- Review construction documentation, including method statements, ITPs and
  review forms, and monitor compliance with the Construction Management Plan.
- Report any non-compliance with construction management or HSE processes to the
  relevant stakeholders.
- Organize and participate in design and construction meetings with the client,
  contractors and designers, prepare MoM and follow up action plans.
- Contribute to overall project reporting, including weekly meetings, monthly
  reports and the risk register.

## Profile/Skills

- Strong experience in railway Trackwork design review and construction
  supervision.
- Good knowledge of alignment design, track layout, detailed trackwork design
  and trackwork equipment.
- Experience in reviewing technical and construction documentation and
  supporting the resolution of site issues.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work with
  clients, contractors, designers and other project stakeholders.
