## Context

 

**Human Resources Manager – rail project**

 

We are seeking an experienced HR professional recognized for their strategic
thinking, attention to detail, collaborative spirit, and ability to support
managers in a demanding and evolving project-based environment. This individual
will play a key role in supporting operations and implementing engaging,
effective, and sustainable HR practices.

Systra Canada is working on numerous rail projects, including the high-speed
rail project connecting Quebec City to Toronto: ALTO.

## Missions/Main Duties

 

**Key Responsibilities**

- Advise and support managers on all human resources-related issues, including
  performance management, labor relations, employee engagement, and team
  development.
- Develop, implement, and refine HR strategies, programs, and policies in line
  with the organization’s needs.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and talent development
  initiatives.
- Serve as a key resource in change management and in facilitating
  organizational transformations.
- Ensure compliance with laws, standards, internal policies, and best practices
  in human resources.
- Manage the HR team as well as complex or sensitive cases related to labor
  relations, personnel issues, and disciplinary or administrative actions.
- Produce HR analyses, recommendations, and metrics to support decision-making
  and the optimization of management practices.

## Profile/Skills

 

**Desired Qualifications**

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, administration, or
  a related field
- At least 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in human resources, including
  at least 5 years of experience in major infrastructure projects (engineering,
  rail, and/or construction sectors)
- At least 10 years of experience managing an HR team
- Bilingualism is essential: excellent command of French and English, both
  spoken and written
- Strong leadership, influence, communication, judgment, and problem-solving
  skills, with a collaborative spirit
- Excellent knowledge of labor laws and best practices in human resources
  management
