In 1999, SYSTRA was appointed as consultant for the construction of Taiwan’s Neihu Line.
The Neihu Line is an extension of Taipei’s first line, the Mucha Line (Brown Line) commissioned in 1996. It is a fully automated light railway running along a viaduct.
SYSTRA was commissioned to act as Special Design Consultant to the local government designers (Taipei Municipal Government). SYSTRA provided assistance in a number of fields including:
- Systems assistance;
- Viaduct design;
- Track design (running surface);
- Depot design.
