Riyadh Metro Lines 1, 2 and 3
SYSTRA and the consortium were appointed to project manage two of the three construction packages covering lines 1, 2 and 3 of the Riyadh metro in Saudi Arabia.
The new 176.4 km metro network, with its driverless trains, will help ease congestion on the roads, improve quality of life for inhabitants and help drive economic development in the Saudi capital. The three lines will mostly serve the city’s business district to the north of the city centre.
The Consortium is responsible for managing the contract between the contractors and the Contracting Authority, Arriyadh Development Authority, controlling costs and the schedule. It is also responsible for reviewing designs and supervising construction to make sure that the final product meets the client’s needs and expectations, as laid out in the contract.
